A major aim of Austria's Naturefriends is the conservation and preservation of our nature. Children and adolescents have the opportunity to experience nature and establish an active environmental awareness. This relation to the nature is perceptible in all our activities.
Every year the Young Naturefriends award the best project in the environmental area with the "Goldenen Murmel" nation- and federal wide. This is to encourage youth groups, which involve themselves positively with nature.
Austria's Young Naturefriends organize Environmental Workcamps in different locations across Austria. We welcome open minded people from 16 to 30 to spend one week in summer working in and for nature on a volunteer basis (free food and accommodation).
